SAN DIEGO, CA – Bill Wells, major of El Cajon, is recovering well after his tragic rollover accident on April 2nd. Wells was driving to Starbucks on Thursday morning when he rolled his Kia Optima in the Mount Helix area. The 57-year-old mayor says that most of the details surrounding the crash are fuzzy to him. The last thing Wells remembers was his dog jumping into  his lap from the passenger seat next to him.

Wells had to be rescued from his vehicle and underwent intensive back surgery. The mayor is back home now and hopes to be back to work this week.
