San Diego Jet Ski Collision Results in Closed Head Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Our client‚ a 12-year-old San Diego boy‚ was struck by a jet-ski while being towed behind a neighbor’s boat in Mission Bay in San Diego. The client was transported to the hospital from the scene with massive closed head injuries and water ingestion. It was later discovered that the San Diego jet-ski accident caused our client to suffer traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The Jurewitz Law group investigated the jet-ski operator and jet-ski owner—both of whom did not possess any insurance or assets to pay for the damages (insurance is not required for jet-ski operation). Not accepting this as a final answer‚ we obtained cash settlements from these parties’ personal assets and a confidential six-figure settlement from the boat operator for failure to observe a proper lookout and warn other vessels of a person in the water. We were able to establish that all these factors led to this San Diego boating accident.
Recovery: Confidential Six Figure Settlement
