On September 24, 2017, at 4:15 p.m., Mr. Erwin was riding in the front passenger seat of his car with his wife traveling northbound in San Diego, California at twenty-five miles per hour. As his wife approached the intersection, the defendant failed to acknowledge the stop sign and continued driving, colliding into the passenger side of our client’s vehicle. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin’s vehicle was rendered a total loss.
Following the accident, Mr. Erwin felt immediate pain in his left abdomen, his left shoulder, right ribs, back and head. After attempting to return home and treat his injuries on his own, his son took him to the emergency room. Upon medical examination, it was clear that the injuries were much more severe than originally anticipated. The ER physicians ordered x-rays of his chest and took CT scans of his head, cervical spine, abdomen and pelvis. After evaluating his injuries, Mr. Erwin decided he couldn’t go through this on his own and called us. After chiropractic and neurological treatment, Mr. Ewin was able to make a full recovery.
