On December 4, 2018, Ms. O’Neil was traveling eastbound on University Avenue in San Diego, California with hopes of passing through the intersection of University Avenue and 30th Street. Ms. O’Neil was traveling with her eight-year-old daughter in the back seat.
At such time and place, the defendant was traveling westbound on University Avenue when she approached the intersection of 30th Street and University Avenue. The defendant proceeded to make a left-hand turn, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. As a result, she collided with Ms. O’Neil’s vehicle head on, which was occupied Ms. O’Neil and her eight-year-old daughter.
Immediately following the accident, Ms. O’Neil complained of pain in her upper and lower back, as well as her left shoulder. Ms. O’Neil was given several injections to relieve the muscular pain she was experiencing due the accident. To restore Ms. O’Neil to her full health potential, she completed six months of orthopedic and chiropractic treatment. During this time, Ms. O’Neil missed multiple days from her office.
