Woman run over by own vehicle in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA – A 55-year-old woman was run over by her own vehicle on Saturday night when she left the car to catch a stray dog.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m. on May 23. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) told Fox 5 San Diego that the woman saw a stray dog running down the street near Flinn Springs Road and Blossom Valley Road.
The woman stopped her car and exited the vehicle, but she forgot to put the car in park. The car rolled towards the woman and then ran over her, dragging her around 60 feet before coming to a stop.
CHP officers reported that the woman sustained injuries to her arm and her leg, and they transported her to a local hospital for treatment.
