Three-Vehicle Crash on I-805 North

SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Highway Patrol traffic incident page reports that three vehicles collided and blocked several lanes of highway traffic. The accident occurred on Interstate 805 North near SR 15 at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 23. A witness told police officers that a grey Kia crashed into a grey Honda Accord, causing the Honda to spin out into the grass and rollover.

The police report a dark-colored Nissan on the scene, which they believe was involved in the crash, but they have provided no other information about the Nissan or its driver. Before the police arrived, the man driving the Honda left his vehicle and ran towards the canyon. Police are searching for this driver who they believe is a Hispanic man, who weighs approximately 330 pounds and is wearing grey sweatpants.

An ambulance arrived on the scene of the accident, but the police have not reported any injuries at this time. The Kia was severely damaged in the crash and required a tow truck to remove it from the scene.
