Pomona, CA – Family Killed In State Route 152 Crash
Four people were killed in a car crash in Northern California on Sunday, May 26, 2019. The victims were Samuel Soto, his girlfriend, Alondra Lara, and their two small children, Nicholas and Diego Alexander Soto. A relative of the family also said that Lara was six months pregnant at the time of the accident.
The vehicle was travelling on State Route 152 when it slammed into a tree on May 26, Sunday. As a result of the crash, the car was cut in half. The Soto family was reportedly driving back home to Pomona from San Francisco. According to the California Highway Patrol, there was no drug or alcohol intoxication involved during the accident. The weather was not bad at the time the accident occurred as well. According to CHP officer, Shanna Tiers, the crash might have occurred due to the fact that the road was slippery due to rainfall. Soto was driving at a normal speed of 65 to 75 miles an hour, according to Stiers.
