Pedestrian seriously injured in Kensington hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 56-year-old pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in the Kensington neighborhood area on Tuesday evening. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, local business traffic cameras caught footage of an older, white Expedition running a stoplight and striking a man at around 7 p.m. The victim was crossing the street at the crosswalk on El Cajon Boulevard and Copeland Avenue when the collision occurred.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital with significant injuries, including a brain bleed, a collapsed lung, and several rib fractures.

The San Diego Police Department is currently investigating the situation and attempting to locate the driver of the white Expedition. If you have any information on the incident, please call (858) 495-7800.
