Oakland – Deadly Crash on Bay Bridge
There was one fatality on yesterday, May 29, 2019, when a box truck crashed onto a rear of a bus on Bay Bridge near San Francisco. The accident caused multiple lanes to be shut down. According to authorities, traffic in East Bay was also impeded due to the accident. The passenger in the truck was killed. Two passengers in the truck sustained injuries. Two passengers in the bus were hospitalized.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the box truck crashed into the rear of a BART commuter bus and overturned. The identity of the deceased victim of the accident has not been released. According to CHP officer, Bert Diaz, speed is being taken into consideration in the investigation.
