Major-injury collision on Interstate 8
SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that a multi-car collision occurred on Interstate 8 between the exits of 70th and College Street at around 2 p.m. yesterday. It’s unclear how the crash started, but California Highway Patrol says that one vehicle overturned, and up to three other cars were involved. One vehicle apparently rolled off of the freeway and onto Alvarado Road. The incident blocked all traffic lanes.
At least two patients were taken to the nearby Alvarado Hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown, but the police have categorized the event as a major-injury crash.
