Man falls asleep at the wheel and causes solo-vehicle crash
SAN DIEGO, CA – A Good Samaritan alerted the California Highway Patrol of a solo-vehicle crash on the connector between eastbound State Route 52 and northbound State Route 67 in El Cajon at 1:40 p.m. The driver of a silver Nissan Rouge stopped when he saw a silver Jeep Comanche on the right hand side of the road and a man standing near the vehicle.
The man in the Jeep told the concerned witness that he had fallen asleep at the wheel and crashed his vehicle into the right-side highway barrier. It’s unclear if he suffered any injuries in the crash.
