Man escapes ambulance, struck and killed by SUV in Cardiff
SAN DIEGO, CA – Fox 5 San Diego reports that on February 22nd, a man broke out of an ambulance and ran across multiple lanes of Interstate 5 in Cardiff. The vehicle was traveling at 50 mph when the man broke his restraints and jumped out. He climbed over the divider and ran across the northbound lanes when an oncoming SUV struck him.
Police report the man died at the scene of the accident. No other details have been released.
