Fatal hit-and-run accident in downtown San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego Police are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning at around 4:40 a.m. in a parking lot at Eighth Avenue and B Street.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was walking through the parking lot when a black Ford F-150 flatbed truck was speeding through the area and hit the man. The victim was dragged through the parking lot before the truck ultimately sped off.

The man was alive when emergency responders took him to a nearby hospital, but he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
