Driver suspected of DUI after crashing truck into parked cars and a fire hydrant in Pacific Beach

SAN DIEGO, CA – 10News reports that just before 2 a.m on April 9th, a man in a truck crashed his vehicle into multiple parked cars and a fire hydrant. The accident occurred near Foothill Boulevard and Monmouth Drive. The driver almost hit a witness as he attempted to flee the scene, but no bystanders reported any injuries at the time. The fire hydrant spilled water onto the road but was stopped before causing any damage.

Police located the man a few blocks away from the scene and arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence.
