Driver Injures Four While Fleeing Police
SAN DIEGO, CA – A pick-up truck driver crashed into a fence near Logan Heights on Wednesday at 10:30 PM. The driver was attempting to escape police officers, who were investigating a report of an assault. Police pursued the driver from Spring Valley, where the assault occurred, to Euclid Avenue. The car chase stopped when the driver crashed into a chain-link fence and several cars on the street.
Five people were standing near the fence when the car crashed. Four of these people were injured and sent to the hospital. However, police do not believe their injuries are life-threatening.
After the crash, the driver exited his vehicle and attempted to leave the scene, but police officers caught the driver several blocks away. San Diego police arrested the driver for suspected drunk driving
