Driver Destroys Home in City Heights
SAN DIEGO, CA – A man drove a stolen SUV through a fence and crashed into a house in the Azalea-Hollywood Park neighborhood Friday night.
The accident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on May 1, according to Fox 5 San Diego. The house, located near 2500 Tuberose Street, sustained significant damage, but none of the residents were harmed.
The force of the impact crushed the front walls and pushed the house off its foundation. A San Diego building inspector deemed that the house is unsafe to live in, due to extreme structural damage.
The man who caused the accident left the SUV and fled the scene on foot, according to a witness. Police officers have not released any information about this driver or his capture at this time.
