Del Mar Heights Road Car Accident Kills Father and Injures Two Teenagers
SAN DIEGO, CA – A 50-year-old man was killed in a car accident on Friday, April 10, 2020, while he was driving down Del Mar Heights Road, according to NBC San Diego. The driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling at high speeds on the rain covered road, causing him to swerve into a tree. The impact split the car in two, and an officer with the San Diego Police Department declared the driver dead upon arrival to the scene.
The father of two was in the vehicle with his 15-year-old daughter and 17-year-old son, at the time of the crash. Both of the teenagers were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care. Although the daughter is expected to recover from minor injuries to her stomach, the son sustained life-threatening injuries and was in critical condition.
