Defective Traffic Signal on SR-15 South
SAN DIEGO, CA – A traffic signal at the intersection of SR-15 South and University Avenue displayed a red light for over 15 minutes. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that traffic is severely backed up at the intersection and some drivers have started running the red light.
CHP officers noted the problem at 11:40 a.m. on Monday, April 4, and they have requested an officer on the scene to direct traffic. Drivers in the area should use additional caution and watch for drivers running the red light.
It is essential to obey CHP officer commands at the intersection to avoid a serious accident.
