Two-vehicle crash on I-5

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to the California Highway Police’s traffic logs, a two-vehicle crash occurred last night on Interstate 5. Police were alerted to the incident at around 9:14 p.m. on southbound I-5 near the Encinitas Boulevard offramp. Three vehicles were pulled over on the righthand side of the road, all of them with their hazards on. A green Toyota Highlander and a light-colored Lexus had collided on the interstate. The third vehicle, a blue Toyota Prius, was following the Lexus and pulled over as a witness.

CHP has not released any further information on what led to the collision, but they have confirmed that no injuries were sustained in the crash.

Major two-vehicle crash in Palm City

SAN DIEGO, CA – A two-vehicle crash occurred this morning on northbound Interstate 5 and State Route 75. According to the California Highway Patrol, police received reports of the major accident at around 10:19 a.m. It appears that two vehicles collided at high speed, but police are unsure how the accident occurred at this time. One car is in the right-side ditch, and one vehicle is in the center divide; both are in bad shape.

Multiple cars have pulled over to help the individuals involved in the car accident, and citizens worked to pull at least one injured person out of a vehicle. It’s unclear how many people were injured in the accident, but emergency responders did transport at least one person to a nearby hospital.

Police are currently on the scene and have closed down the surrounding road for the time being. Our team will continue to monitor the story closely, and we will post an update if we learn new information.

Man dies after crashing car into pole

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 20-year-old man died early this morning after he crashed his vehicle into a pole off of Highway 805 in the Kearny Mesa area. According to 10News, the young man was driving at high-speed on northbound 805 near Balboa Avenue when he lost control of his red Acura Integra, veered off the freeway, and collided with a pole.

Emergency responders arrived at around 6:10 a.m. and declared the man dead at the scene of the accident. Police closed down the northbound and southbound section of the highway for investigation and cleanup.

Driver ejected out of vehicle in SR-78 single-vehicle crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorist was ejected out of his vehicle during a single-vehicle crash on State Route 78 this afternoon in Oceanside. The California Highway Patrol reports that a silver Mazda crashed on SR-78 near the Jefferson Street offramp. A witness told police that it appeared that the driver was losing consciousness before the crash.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene at around 12:21 p.m and transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries are unclear at this time.

At least one person injured in three-vehicle crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person was injured in a three-vehicle crash this morning in El Cajon. According to the California Highway Patrol, a grey Acura was struck by a vehicle on the access road of Interstate 8 near Los Cochas Road.

Police arrived on scene at 11:46 a.m. to find the grey Acura, a white Tacoma, and a gold Ford Ranger all blocking the access road near the I-8 offramp. It’s unclear at this time which car struck the Acura first, but the damage indicates that the vehicle was driving at a high speed.

An ambulance was called to the scene, but police have not released details on any injuries sustained in the accident.

Truck backs up improperly and causes crash in El Cajon

SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Highway Patrol reports that this morning, at around 10:14 a.m., a motorist backed up his truck and crashed. The driver was on Dos Picos County Park Road when he attempted to back up his vehicle. In doing so, he crashed his vehicle into a street pole and bushes.

Police say that they attempted to call an ambulance for the man, but he refused medical help. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

One person injured after vehicle crashes into street light

SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle crashed into a light pole off of State Route 94 this morning in El Cajon. According to the traffic logs, the driver lost control of the car, drove off the highway at 12440 Campo Road, and crashed into the concrete foundation of a street light pole. It’s unclear why the driver lost control of the vehicle at this time.

Emergency responders transported the driver to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 805

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to reports from Caltrans San Diego, a multiple-vehicle crash occurred on Tuesday evening on I-805. San Diego Police responded to the accident at around 5:00 p.m. on southbound Interstate 805 north of Plaza Boulevard. The three leftmost lanes were completely blocked by the collision.

Two-Vehicle collision on Interstate 8

SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Highway Patrol reports of a two-vehicle collision this afternoon in El Cajon. According to the report, police responded to the call at around 2:36 p.m. to the intersection of westbound Interstate 8 and State Route 125. A white Chevy and a white Chevy Camaro were involved in the incident. It’s unclear what led to the collision at this time.

Driver injured in single-vehicle crash on Champagne Boulevard

OCEANSIDE, CA – The California Highway Patrol reports a driver is injured after a truck crashed on Champagne Boulevard near Old Castle Road on Wednesday.

The driver crashed the vehicle at approximately 4:25 a.m. on May 6 and then moved the car to the right side of the road. Police officers reported that the white Toyota pick-up truck was the only vehicle involved, but they have not released any information about the cause of the accident.

An ambulance transported the driver to a local hospital to treat injuries the driver sustained in the crash. The police on the scene have not stated the type or severity of these injuries.

The truck was severely damaged in the accident and required a tow truck to remove it from the road.
