Woman trapped under trolley in Skyline area
SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman was struck and trapped underneath a Metropolitan Transit System trolley Tuesday morning, reports NBC San Diego 7.
The San Diego Fire-Rescue crews received word at 10:15 a.m. that someone had been struck by a trolley and was trapped beneath. The 53-year-old woman was struck near the 68th Street and Imperial Avenue area.
It took 44 personnel around thirty minutes to free the woman. She was later taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Officers believe the incident may have been an attempted suicide. They are continuing their investigation.
