Woman struck by car on I-8 in El Cajon identified
SAN DIEGO, CA – The woman who was struck by a passing car while standing near her own disabled vehicle on I-8 in El Cajon has been identified.
According to Fox News San Diego, the victim was 19-year-old Chico resident Nadia Eden Alatorre-McNeal.
After crashing and disabling her 2003 Toyota Matrix, Alatorre-McNeal exited her car in the righthand lane of eastbound I-8 near North First Street at about 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday. A passing car struck her Toyota and then the victim, throwing her into the left land, where she was hit by two more cars.
She died at the scene.
The driver of the 2002 Infiniti G35 that struck Alatorre-McNeal’s car was hospitalized with serious but not life-threatening injuries. An update on their condition was not available.
