Woman run over by tractor on Oceanside beach ID’d
SAN DIEGO, CA – Police have identified the victim who was run over by a tractor while lying on the sand at an Oceanside beach earlier this week.
According to the Times of San Diego, the transient woman was sleeping, fully clothed, on the beach in the 1200 block of North Pacific Avenue. It was at about 10 a.m. on Monday when the piece of machinery owned by Manson Dredge Co. ran over and killed her.
The victim was identified as Carol Ann Aguirre. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is still unclear whether the woman was in the cordoned off work zone or not when the accident happened. The tractor was on the beach as part of an on-going dredging project in the area.
