Woman killed in San Ysidro hit-and-run accident
SAN YSIDRO, CA – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in San Ysidro a little before 1 a.m. this morning. According to NBC San Diego, the collision occurred at 200 East San Ysidro Boulevard.
The woman was crossing the street on a red light when an oncoming gold SUV struck the pedestrian. The impact of the collision knocked the woman over, and the SUV drove over her.
The SUV then turned left onto westbound San Ysidro Boulevard and fled the area.
Emergency responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene of the accident.
