Woman arrested in Clairemont for assaulting police with her car
SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman was arrested after an incident where she used her car to hit an officer and their cruisers early Thursday, reports Fox 5 San Diego.
Two police cars were dispatched around 2:00 a.m. to the Chevron station on Balboa Avenue with a report of a woman blocking the driveway and playing loud music.
The woman did not respond to the officer’s commands and would not get out of the vehicle. The woman put her car in gear and drove into the officer’s cruisers. She backed up and hit the cruisers again. The suspect finally rolled forward striking an officer with her car and leaving the parking lot. The officer was not injured.
Authorities set out a spike strip near the station and were able to take the woman into custody. It is unknown why the woman refused to respond and an investigation is underway.
