Vehicle crashes into fire hydrant and floods El Cajon Street
EL CAJON, CA – The California Highway Patrol reported an incident this morning involving a vehicle crashing into a fire hydrant in El Cajon. According to the report, the crash occurred at 4402 Dehesa Road at around 5:33 a.m.
A motorist was traveling on Dehesa Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and crashed into a fire hydrant. The fire hydrant spewed a significant amount of water, flooding the streets by a nearby school.
When the police arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle’s right side was completely under water. The driver was injured in the accident and emergency responders were called to transport the individual to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
