UPDATE: Victim in Thursday Fallbrook truck accident identified
FALLBROOK, CA – The man who died in a truck crash on Thursday in Fallbrook has been identified, according to an article by KHTS.
Canyon Country man Manuel Corbin, 45, died just before 1 p.m. Thursday while driving a commercial 2009 Ford flatbed.
Corbin was traveling along a curve in the road and lost control of the vehicle near the 3400 block of West Sandia Creek Drive. The truck then overturned over a steep ridge surrounded by heavy vegetation.
Corbin was fatally injured during the accident.
The remote location and position of the driver made recovery of Corbin and his vehicle difficult, according to an official statement.
Corbin is not believed by police to have been under the influence.
The accident is still under investigation by California Highway Patrol.
