Update: Pedestrian struck and killed near Midway District
SAN DIEGO, CA – We posted earlier about a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle near the Midway District this morning. Per the San Diego Police Department’s Twitter account, we can now share some updates to the story.
According to the SDPD, lanes reopened after nearly an hour. Police are saying that a male pedestrian was crossing the southbound lanes of Sports Arena Boulevard from the west curb to the east curb. While crossing the street, a vehicle struck the man and killed him.
Investigators say that no DUI is suspected at this time.
