Update: Man fatally injured in crash with fire hydrant
The accident happened on Dehesa Road near Sloane Canyon Road at about 5:30 in the morning on Monday. A Toyota Camry was driving west when it crossed over the center lines and struck the fire hydrant and overturned.
Lanes were closed as the fire hydrant began spurting water, filling the intersection, and partially submerging the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released.
