Hit-and-run driver crashes into two parked cars in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA – A hit-and-run driver crashed into two parked cars and fled the scene this morning in San Diego. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near Briarwood Road and Picasso Drive at around 5:46 a.m.

The suspected vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Ram, crashed into a parked Toyota Camry and a Nissan Frontier and then fled the scene. The authorities do have video footage of the incident and are currently searching for the driver of the Dodge.

No one was injured in the collision.

Multiple vehicles, including one semi-truck, involved in injury crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – An injury crash involving a semi-truck, an SUV, and two pickup trucks occurred this morning. According to the California Highway Patrol’s accident logs, the collision happened on Interstate 15 near Mira Mesa at around 9:35 a.m. The witness that called the police told the authorities that they heard the collision, rather than saw it, because the impact was so loud.

When police arrived on the scene, they found one jackknifed SUV with a trailer, two pickup trucks, and a semi-truck had been involved in the crash. It wasn’t clear how the collision occurred. Multiple injuries were reported, and emergency responders transported patients to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Traffic collision on I-8 closes five lanes for almost four hours

SANTEE, CA – Caltrans San Diego is reporting a traffic collision from yesterday morning in Santee. The crash occurred on westbound Interstate 8 near Mission Gorge Road and Fairmount Avenue at around 1:01 a.m. Details on what led to the crash have not been released at this time. We can confirm that five lanes of westbound I-8 were closed for about four hours.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the collision. Our team will post an update if any new information is released.

Several vehicles, including two big rigs, involved in crash on I-10

SAN DIEGO, CA – Multiple vehicles, including at least two big rigs, were involved in a collision this morning at around 7:20 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol‘s accident logs, the incident occurred on eastbound Interstate 10 near 8th Street.

It’s not immediately clear how the accident occurred, and police are currently investigating the incident. When the authorities arrived on the scene, they found one jackknifed big rig, one big rig leaking fuel, and a damaged grey Toyota Tundra. There were additional vehicles stopped around the scene, and it’s unclear if they were involved as well.

An ambulance was called for one of the big rig drivers as well as for an occupant of the Toyota Tundra. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Temecula accident leaves car down embankment

SAN DIEGO, CA – A single-vehicle traffic accident was reported on Interstate 15 in Temecula on Tuesday afternoon, according to CHP.

At about 1:04, a report came in of a Honda Civic that spun across the northbound travel lanes near Clinton Keith Road. The vehicle went down an embankment on the righthand side.

No injuries resulted from the crash.

A tow truck responded to the scene and prepared 30 ft of cable to bring the vehicle up from the embankment.

Traffic collision in National City

SAN DIEGO, CA – A traffic collision occurred yesterday afternoon in National City. Caltrans San Diego reports that the incident was called in at around 12:34 p.m., and police arrived quickly to the scene at Main Street and Division Street. At this time, the details of the crash have yet to be released. We can confirm that the accident left two lanes completely blocked for about an hour.

Hit-and-run driver damages two vehicles

SAN DIEGO, CA – A hit-and-run driver struck two vehicles this morning on Interstate 5. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at 10:48 a.m. The crash happened on I-5 near State Route 15. A white Safari van and a grey SUV were both traveling southbound on I-5 when a silver Nissan crashed into them and fled the scene. The Nissan’s bumper came off in the crash.

At least one of the drivers was injured in the accident, and an ambulance was called to the scene. No further information has been released at this time. Our team will monitor the situation and post an update as we learn more.

Morning DUI crash in Oceanside leaves at least one injured

SAN DIEGO, CA – A DUI crash occurred this morning in Oceanside, injuring at least one person.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s incident logs, the collision was reported at East Alvarado Street and East Live Oak Park Road at around 7:40 a.m. A single vehicle had crashed into a ditch off of the roadway, and three occupants were seen fleeing from the scene.

Two Hispanic men and one Hispanic woman ran towards East Mission Road. Witnesses told police that the three were obviously impaired. It’s unclear if police were able to catch up to the three suspects.

One injured 22-year-old man remained at the scene, and emergency responders transported him by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

Solo-vehicle crash in El Cajon

SAN DIEGO, CA – A single-vehicle crash occurred this morning in El Cajon. According to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic logs, the incident happened at around 6:49 a.m. on Old Highway 80 and Crestwood Road. The report states that a single vehicle crashed for unknown reasons and landed off the highway.

Police called an ambulance to the scene, but no injuries were sustained in the crash. No further details are known at this time.

Two-car crash on SR-52

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two vehicles collided this morning on State Route 52. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 9:20 a.m. on State Route 52 near North Fortuna Mountain Summit. A grey Cadillac and a brown Ford were both traveling eastbound on SR-52 when the collision occurred. Witnesses on the scene reported seeing the Ford swerving between lanes before the accident. Witnesses also state that the Ford was the one that crashed into the Cadillac.

Emergency responders advised calling an ambulance to the scene, but both drivers declined the service. It’s unclear if either driver was injured in the crash.
