U-Haul drives flees Vista scene after injuring motorcyclist
SAN DIEGO, CA – The driver of a U-Haul injured a motorcyclist in a small chain-reaction crash then fled the Vista scene on Sunday night, according to the Times of San Diego.
A U-Haul van was turning into traffic from a gas station on North Melrose Drive at about 5 p.m. The van struck the motorcycle, which then hit another vehicle. The U-Haul driver immediately fled the scene.
The motorcyclist was wearing protective equipment at the time of the crash and sustained only minor injuries.
Several witnesses remained at the crash site and were able to report the events to law enforcement.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to pass what they know onto the authorities.
