Truck fire causes extended closures in Temecula
SAN DIEGO, CA – A tractor-trailer fire causes extended closures on Interstate 215 in Temecula on Wednesday evening, according to CHP.
A tractor-trailer fire was reported in the northbound lanes on I-215 near Scott Road at about 5:40 p.m. The fire started near the engine and quickly grew.
Traffic began backing up behind the incident and authorities closed all but one lane until after midnight. The roadway was reopened by Thursday morning.
It is unclear how the fire began or if anyone was injured in the accident.
