Traffic alert: Brush fire leads to Fairmont Ave. road closures
SAN DIEGO, CA – A small brush fire led to the closure of all southbound lanes of Fairmont Avenue for about a half-hour this evening, according to a report by Fox 5 San Diego.
The quarter-acre fire began in the 4600 block of Fairmont at around 5 p.m. and led to authorities closing all southbound lanes of the roadway in the area.
Authorities opened one lane of the roadway about a half-hour later, at 5:32 p.m., though they warned travelers that traffic delays were highly likely and reminded drivers to use caution when in the area.
