Tractor-trailer driver reports rollover crash off I-5
SAN DIEGO, CA – A truck driver called 911 after spotting an overturned vehicle off the road from his tractor-trailer in Oceanside on Tuesday morning.
According to CHP, the UPS tractor-trailer driver was southbound on I-5 when he spotted a car down the righthand side of the embankment at about 6:15 a.m.
The driver pulled to the side of the road and reported that vehicle to authorities, remarking that it was not visible from the road.
When authorities arrived, they found a vehicle upside down, wheels in the air, in a ditch.
An ambulance was part of the emergency response team. However, it remains unclear whether the vehicle was still occupied when they arrived or whether anyone was injured.
