A woman riding her bike was killed after she was hit by a vehicle and was ran over by the driver of the same vehicle in Visalia, CA on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. The driver of the vehicle that hit and ran over the bicyclist was arrested under suspicion of DUI after the crash. The driver of the said vehicle was reportedly driving southbound on Court Street at around 1:30 pm when he struck the bicyclist. The bicyclist had just come off Modoc Ditch Bike Trail, and was crossing the street. After hitting the bicyclist, the driver drove away, dragging the bicyclist at around 200 yards. Officers located the driver who hit and ran over the bicyclist and his car not far from the crash site after he fled the scene following the accident.
