A man sustained major injuries when he crashed his motorcycle into a car in University City, CA on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. The crash reportedly occurred just before 4:25 pm on Town Center Drive, north of Nobel Drive. The man was riding his 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound in the left lane of Town Center Drive prior to the crash. The driver of a 2011 Lexus Sedan travelling southbound on Town Center Drive tried to make a U-turn from the right lane and crossed into the path where the motorcycle was travelling. This caused the motorcycle and the Sedan to collide against each other. The motorcyclist sustained a fractured pelvis and a fractured femur. Those injuries, though, were not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the Lexus Sedan stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors that had caused the crash.
