Speed suspected factor in Temecula I-15 accident

SAN DIEGO, CA – Speed was suspected as a factor in a multi-vehicle accident that happened on Interstate 15 in Temecula on Wednesday morning.

According to CHP, a yellow Kia sedan, a red SUV, and a black Nissan Altima were involved in the accident in the northbound lanes near Bundy Canyon Road at about 6:30 a.m.

The driver of the Nissan was reported to have been at speeds around 100 mph before the crash happened.

Motorcyclist splitting lanes gets hit by car on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcyclist was thrown from his bike after being sideswiped by a car on Interstate 15 in Temecula on Monday afternoon.

According to CHP, the motorcycle rider was headed north on I-15 and splitting lanes to pass other vehicles. Near Rancho California Road, he was sideswiped by a blue vehicle at about 5 p.m.

The rider, a man, was not seriously injured in the accident and was up and walking around the scene by the time firefighters arrived.

At least one injured in two-car crash on SR-79

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person sustained minor injuries when two vehicles collided on State Route 79 in the Temecula area on Monday.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened in the northbound lanes near Thompson Road at about 3:35 p.m. A black sedan and a black truck were involved.

The truck driver was lying on the ground when the 911 call came in. It was later confirmed that he was injured, though thankfully his injuries were not life-threatening.

Motorcyclist splitting lanes injured in Temecula truck crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcycle rider was injured in an accident with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 15 in Temecula on Thursday afternoon.

According to CHP, the biker crashed with the blue truck while splitting a lane on southbound I-15 near the Temecula Border Patrol Checkpoint at about 3:30 p.m.

The rider landed in a middle lane where Border Patrol officials found them as the first the arrive on the scene just minutes after the 911 call.

An ambulance also rushed to the scene to treat the rider’s injuries.

Fatal accident reported on SR-74 in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person was pronounced dead after a multiple vehicle accident on State Route 74 in Temecula on Tuesday afternoon.

According to CHP, a green Honda Civic, a Toyota Camry, and a white van were involved in an accident on SR-74 near Ethanac Road at about 3:45 p.m.

At least one person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The eastbound and westbound lanes were blocked while authorities worked at the scene.

Reckless driver flips vehicle on SR-79 in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – A reckless driver crashed and flipped their vehicle, hitting the guardrail and a sign, on State Route 79 in Temecula on Tuesday afternoon.

According to CHP, a witness reported that the woman behind the wheel of the involved vehicle had been driving recklessly and passing people on the left-hand shoulder before the crash happened at the intersection of SR-79 and Pauba Road. At about 6 p.m., the vehicle flipped in the air and crashed onto the guardrail and 55 mph speed limit sign.

The woman and her child passenger were able to get out of the vehicle and an ambulance rushed to the scene to assess their injuries.

Fatality reported after I-15 crash in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – A fatal car versus tractor-trailer accident was reported on Interstate 15 in Temecula on Thursday afternoon.

According to CHP, a blue Toyota Prius crashed with a tractor-trailer in the middle lanes of southbound I-15 near Overland Drive at about 12:30 p.m. After the vehicles crashed both began to catch fire. Reportedly, the driver of one of the vehicles jumped out of the vehicles as it began to go up in flames.

It was not very long before the truck was fully engulfed.

Authorities shut down all but one lane of the freeway in a closure that continued through the night.

One person was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center and was later investigated for driving under the influence.

Another was pronounced dead at the scene.

At least one seriously injured in Temecula crash on SR-79

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person was seriously injured after a multi-vehicle accident on State Route 79 in Temecula on Tuesday afternoon.

According to CHP, the accident happened near Anza Road at about 12:35 p.m. Two vehicles were involved.

Authorities closed the road while they assessed at least one injured person. They were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The area was reopened about an hour after the crash.

Intersection blocked after crash near Temecula schools

SAN DIEGO, CA – An intersection was blocked after a two-vehicle accident near a school campus in Temecula on Tuesday morning.

According to CHP, a white pickup truck crashed with a white sedan at the intersection of Washington Street and Abelia Street at about 10:35 a.m. The damaged vehicles were blocking the intersection in front of the Temecula Valley Charter School and the Temecula Preparatory School.

An ambulance responded but it has not yet been confirmed as to whether anyone needed medical treatment.

The vehicles were towed from the scene.

One injured in three-vehicle crash in remote area of SR-74

SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman was trapped inside her vehicle after a crash on mountainous State Route 74 on Tuesday morning, according to CHP.

The woman was in a white Ford Escape that crashed with a grey Nissan Sentra and a blue Ford Escape in the Bear Canyon area of SR-74 at about 8:15 a.m.

The woman’s car landed at a 45-degree angle, which pinned the door from opening. She was inside the vehicle and suffering from neck pain when emergency workers arrived.

Thankfully, her injuries were considered minor. It is unclear whether the other drivers involved were injured.

All three vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
