Traffic News: Good Samaritan helps single-car collision
ESCONDIDO, CA – A single-vehicle lost control on Camino Del Rey and ended up in a ditch on the side of the road, reports California Highway Patrol.
A vehicle was traveling along the Camino Del Rey around 7:17 p.m. when they lost control and ended up in a ditch. A passing motorist noticed the collision and stopped to help. The Good Samaritan pulled out a chain and tow hit and pulled the car in the ditch back to the road.
Authorities drove by the crash site but found the vehicle in the ditch was gone.

Motorist pulled from vehicle after single-car collision
SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver was pulled out of an overturned vehicle when it crashed Sunday on the I-5, reports Times of San Diego.
The driver of a Toyota Scion rolled the vehicle around 9:40 a.m. Sunday. It is unknown what may have caused the Scion to rollover. The collision caused the car to end up on its roof. Witnesses saw the vehicle overturn and stopped to render aid to the driver.
It is unknown if the driver was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Three of the lanes on the I-5 were closed for the collision. Officers investigated the scene for the sequence of events that led to the crash.

Single vehicle crashes into light pole on Paradise Mountain Road
ESCONDIDO, CA – A black SUV was traveling along Paradise Mountain Road when it struck a light pole, reports the California Highway Patrol.
A black SUV hit the light pole around 7:49 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the area to discover the driver had been driving under the influence and driving recklessly before he collided with the pole.
The driver was seen outside the vehicle before he returned to the collision. An ambulance was dispatched to the area and took the driver to the hospital with unknown injuries.
CHP requested the San Diego Power Company to take a look at the power pole. A safety check must be done in the event of a collision with any power pole.
Officers are investigating what circumstances led to the collision. As this is a recent event, more information is being gathered by officers and will be reported when it is made available.
