A 58-year-old pedestrian was struck and injured by a westbound postal truck on January 9, 2012, around 3:45 p.m. on Gramercy Drive at Sandrock Road in Serra Mesa. According to San Diego police, the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by the postal vehicle.

A 35-year-old man and his 5-year-old daughter suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident that occurred on December 8, 2011, in Serra Mesa. According to San Diego Police Sgt. Art Doherty, both father and daughter were crossing Ruffin Road when they were hit by a red pickup. The two were walking in a dark section of the street to the mother’s house when they were hit.
Medics immediately transported the father to Mercy Hospital to receive treatment for multiple broken bones in his left leg and a brain bleed. The young girl also suffered a broken jaw and was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital for medical treatment. From the present information, it is unclear what caused this major truck accident that left two people severely injured. The man driving the truck said he did not see the pedestrians. A woman believed to be in her 50s was struck in a San Diego auto accident that occurred on October 17‚ 2011‚ around 7 a.m. at a Serra Mesa intersection. According to the police‚ the victim was walking in the crosswalk at Gramercy Drive and Mobley Street when a 49-year-old man driving a Toyota Tundra turned left and hit her.

Two people suffered critical injuries in a San Diego bus accident that occurred on May 26‚ 2011‚ around 6:10 a.m. at Murray Ridge Road in Serra Mesa. According to the CHP‚ light-colored Mercedes SUV collided with the rear side of a school bus on southbound Interstate 805 (I-805).
