4 people were killed in a wrong-way crash in San Francisco early Thursday morning, October 3, 2019. The crash involved a taxi cab. The accident happened on northbound Highway 101 when a wrong-way driver drove a vehicle southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 101, close to Candlestick Point at approximately 12:24 am. A female driver and only occupant of a Volkswagen that was going the wrong way crashed into a taxi that had 2 passengers in it, in addition to the driver of the taxi cab. All 4 occupants of the 2 vehicles were all killed in the accident. One of the passengers of the taxi cab was ejected out of the vehicle during the crash.
