SAN DIEGO, CA – According to the traffic reports from the California Highway Patrol, a wrong-way driver was traveling on Interstate 5 this afternoon.┬áPolice were alerted to the incident at around 2:39 p.m. A motorist in a silver Toyota Tundra was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-5 near Bay Boulevard. Police were able to get to the driver and stop them within about ten minutes. At this time, it’s believed that no accidents were caused by the wrong-way driver.

It’s unclear why the driver was in the opposite lanes. Our team will continue to monitor the situation and post an update if new information becomes available.
