SAN MARCOS, CA – The California Highway Patrol reported a road hazard accident this morning in San Marcos. According to the traffic report, the collision happened on State Route 78 and San Marcos Boulevard at around 8:05 a.m.

A vehicle was traveling on the eastbound lanes of SR-78 when they crashed due to debris in the roadway.

No injuries are being reported at this time.

Cleanup crews are on their way to the scene. We advise motorists in the area to drive cautiously.

Driver’s windshield cracked by truck debris in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver reported windshield damage due to debris from another vehicle this morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 1400 East Palomar Street at around 8:11 a.m.

The victim told the police that they were traveling behind a Sand and Graves construction truck when a rock flew off the back of the truck and into the victim’s windshield. The windshield was badly cracked from the impact.

No injuries were reported at the time of the accident.

Oil spill reported on Interstate 15

SAN DIEGO, CA – An oil spill was reported this morning in San Diego. According to the alert from Caltrans San Diego, the incident occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near Camino Del Norte at around 7:04 a.m.

At this time, it’s unclear how the oil spill occurred or if anyone was injured in the incident. We can confirm that the roadways were closed for at least five hours for cleanup.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A road hazard was spotted this morning on Wisecarver Truck Trail. A witness called the California Highway Patrol at around 7:29 a.m. and told police that lots of debris had come off the back of a white vehicle. The vehicle then sped away, although it’s not clear if they were aware they had dropped debris.

The debris littered across Wisecarver Truck Trail near Skyline Truck Trail, causing a road hazard for drivers in the area. At this time, it’s not clear if any accidents have occurred because of the debris. Our team will monitor the situation and post an update if any new information is released.

Cow on the roadway in El Cajon

SAN DIEGO, CA – A cow was loose on the roadway this morning in El Cajon. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at around 10:37 a.m. A motorist in a red truck called in the report, telling police officers that a loose cow was running on and off the roadway at San Felipe Road and State Route 79.

Drivers in the area were having to drive carefully in order to avoid an accident. It took the authorities about thirty minutes to get the cow wrangled. At this time, no accident have been reported from the loose animal. Our team will post an update if any new information is released.

Road hazard on Interstate 15 in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – A road hazard on Interstate 15 is causing traffic issues in Temecula. According to the California Highway Patrol, the hazard was first reported at around 9:29 a.m. on southbound I-15 near Collier Avenue. A large roll of some unknown product is rolling around the lanes. Vehicles in the area are having to break quickly or veer into other lanes to avoid hitting the hazard.

Two vehicles crash while avoiding a road hazard

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two vehicles crashed this morning while avoiding a ladder in the roadway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at around 8:11 a.m. and occurred on State Route 78 near College Street. A black Ford and a black Acura were both traveling westbound on SR-78 when they veered to avoid a ladder in the lane and crashed.

The Ford flipped over in the collision, and the Acura sustained major front-end damage. At least two people were injured in the incident, and two ambulances were called to the the scene.

No further information is known at this time.

Rollover crash caused by road hazard on State Route 371

CAHUILLA, CA – A single-vehicle accident occurred this morning east of Temecula. According to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic logs, a vehicle was traveling eastward on State Route 371 near the Cahuilla Creek Casino when the car had to swerve out of the way to avoid a stalled truck on the side of the road. The vehicle overturned and crashed. Police and emergency responders arrived to the scene at around 11:03 a.m.

Emergency responders were able to rescue the female driver from her vehicle. She suffered minor injuries in the crash. Her vehicle sustained considerable damage and had to be towed from the area.

Driver carrying construction blocks crashes in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver traveling in a truck towing construction blocks crashed this morning in Oceanside. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and smashed the vehicle into the righthand wall of State Route 78. The vehicle jackknifed, and construction blocks flew across the highway. It’s unclear if those construction blocks caused any damage to other vehicles in the area.

The incident occurred on westbound SR-78 near Nordahl at around 7:33 a.m. Medics arrived on scene and found the driver to be uninjured from the crash. The road had to be shut down for a short time while cleaning crews removed the construction blocks from the roadway.

Vehicle damage caused by road hazard on SR-163

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic logs, a woman in a grey 2012 Toyota Camry damaged her car after crashing into road debris. The woman cracked her bumper when she collided with loose wood on the highway. The damage was significant enough that a tow truck had to remove her vehicle from the roadway.

The incident occurred on northbound State Route 163 near Balboa Avenue at around 8:55 a.m. No injuries were reported in the crash.
