SAN MARCOS, CA – The California Highway Patrol reported a road hazard accident this morning in San Marcos. According to the traffic report, the collision happened on State Route 78 and San Marcos Boulevard at around 8:05 a.m.

A vehicle was traveling on the eastbound lanes of SR-78 when they crashed due to debris in the roadway.

No injuries are being reported at this time.

Cleanup crews are on their way to the scene. We advise motorists in the area to drive cautiously.

Oil spill reported on Interstate 15

SAN DIEGO, CA – An oil spill was reported this morning in San Diego. According to the alert from Caltrans San Diego, the incident occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near Camino Del Norte at around 7:04 a.m.

At this time, it’s unclear how the oil spill occurred or if anyone was injured in the incident. We can confirm that the roadways were closed for at least five hours for cleanup.

Road hazard on Wisecarver Truck Trail

SAN DIEGO, CA – A road hazard was spotted this morning on Wisecarver Truck Trail. A witness called the California Highway Patrol at around 7:29 a.m. and told police that lots of debris had come off the back of a white vehicle. The vehicle then sped away, although it’s not clear if they were aware they had dropped debris.

The debris littered across Wisecarver Truck Trail near Skyline Truck Trail, causing a road hazard for drivers in the area. At this time, it’s not clear if any accidents have occurred because of the debris. Our team will monitor the situation and post an update if any new information is released.

Cow on the roadway in El Cajon

SAN DIEGO, CA – A cow was loose on the roadway this morning in El Cajon. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at around 10:37 a.m. A motorist in a red truck called in the report, telling police officers that a loose cow was running on and off the roadway at San Felipe Road and State Route 79.

Drivers in the area were having to drive carefully in order to avoid an accident. It took the authorities about thirty minutes to get the cow wrangled. At this time, no accident have been reported from the loose animal. Our team will post an update if any new information is released.

Road hazard on Interstate 15 in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – A road hazard on Interstate 15 is causing traffic issues in Temecula. According to the California Highway Patrol, the hazard was first reported at around 9:29 a.m. on southbound I-15 near Collier Avenue. A large roll of some unknown product is rolling around the lanes. Vehicles in the area are having to break quickly or veer into other lanes to avoid hitting the hazard.

Road debris punctures vehicle’s gas tank in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO, CA – A vehicle was damaged this morning due to metal debris on Interstate 15. According to the California Highway Patrol’s accident logs, a Black Ford Escape was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 near State Route 78 when he ran over metal debris in the roadway. The debris punctured his gas tank and left the motorist unable to continue driving.

According to the CHP, the Ford had to be towed from the scene. The driver did not report any injuries at the time of the accident.

Semi-truck sends road debris into nearby car, shattering the window

SAN DIEGO, CA – A traffic occurrence happened this morning in Oceanside at around 8:40 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5. According to the California Highway Patrol, an international, red semi-truck drove over road debris and unintentionally shot the debris backwards into a black Toyota driving behind him. The front window of the Toyota shattered from the impact.

Both parties pulled over on the side of the road and cooperated with the police. Neither driver reported any injuries in the accident.

Vehicle damage caused by road hazard on SR-163

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic logs, a woman in a grey 2012 Toyota Camry damaged her car after crashing into road debris. The woman cracked her bumper when she collided with loose wood on the highway. The damage was significant enough that a tow truck had to remove her vehicle from the roadway.

The incident occurred on northbound State Route 163 near Balboa Avenue at around 8:55 a.m. No injuries were reported in the crash.

Road hazard on Interstate 15

SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Highway Patrol is warning motorists on northbound Interstate 15 of a broken down off-road vehicle near the 9th Avenue offramp. The police were alerted to the stalled vehicle at around 2:58 p.m. and arrived quickly on the scene. The owner of the vehicle told police that they wanted to fix the vehicle at that location and did not want to tow it away.

Police are handling the situation now. Drivers in the area should be aware of the stalled vehicle and drive cautiously as to avoid an accident.

Damaged vehicle causes major road hazard on I-805

SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Highway Patrol is warning motorists of a damaged vehicle on northbound Interstate 805 near the University Avenue off-ramp. According to the report, a grey SUV is pulled on to the lefthand side of the road and is blocking lane #2 of the the off-ramp. The driver of the vehicle told police that the vehicle had overheated around 10:07 a.m. and wouldn’t drive any further.

Police caution drivers in the area to be aware as they come around the curve that a vehicle is parked there. Drivers should proceed with caution in order to avoid an accident. The CHP is currently on the way to handle the situation, and our team will post an update if any accidents are caused by the stopped vehicle.
