SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was killed by a vehicle on Interstate 5 in downtown San Diego on Wednesday evening, according to Fox News.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-5 near the exit to Front Street at about 9:05 p.m.

Many details about the accident have yet to be released, however, authorities confirmed that one pedestrian was killed in the accident. Their identity has not been released.

Pedestrian seriously injured by accident in Little Italy

SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a car in San Diego’s Little Italy on Wednesday evening, according to local Fox News.

The pedestrian was struck near the corner of Kettner Boulevard and Grape Street at about 9 p.m. Emergency responders rushed them to an area hospital with serious injuries.

60-year-old pedestrian injured while crossing the street

SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was seriously injured by a car while crossing the street in the Jamacha-Lomita neighborhood on Monday evening.

According to Fox News San Diego, the 60-year-old woman was crossing Cardiff Street near Jamacha Road at about 8 p.m. She was not in the crosswalk when a southbound black SUV struck and injured her.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, which including a broken pelvis, a collapsed lung, and fractured ribs. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The driver fled the scene.

Two men killed by 13-year-old in crash identified

SAN DIEGO, CA – The two men who were killed by a young teenager driving her mother’s car in Escondido on Friday night have been identified.

According to Fox News San Diego, the victims were 33-year-old Mateo Salvador and 51-year-old Sofio Sotelo Torres. They were killed by a 13-year-old driver who had taken her mother’s Ford Expedition without permission. The crash happened at the intersection of Mission Avenue and Ash Street at about 11:15 p.m.

Authorities had attempted to stop the SUV after observing a motor vehicle violation but the driver did not stop and instead sped off before losing control at the crash scene. The vehicle went into some bushes and struck the two men who were sleeping there.

The men had been living as transients before the crash took their life. Police have not been able to notify their families.

The crash remains under investigation and it unclear what charges the teenager may face.

Service suspected after train kills pedestrian in Encinitas

SAN DIEGO, CA – Train service was suspended in Encinitas after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Monday afternoon, according to local news.

The pedestrian was struck near the railroad crossing at Chesterfield Drive and San Elijo Avenue at about 3 p.m.

Service for North County Transit trains and Amtrak trains was suspected until about 6:30 p.m.

The victim died at the scene. Their identity is expected to be released after authorities have been able to notify the family.

Pedestrian seriously injured in Sorrento Valley hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver at a Sorrento Valley intersection early on Sunday morning.

According to a local news story, a driver struck the 25-year-old woman at the intersection of Carroll Canyon Road and Scranton Road after midnight. The vehicle, a dark-colored sedan, pulled into the intersection, did a wide “donut,” and struck the pedestrian.

19-year-old pedestrian airlifted after being hit in Alpine

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 19-year-old pedestrian was airlifted after being seriously injured by a vehicle on a road in Alpine on Wednesday morning.

According to Fox News San Diego, the woman was walking along South Grade Road in the vicinity of Manzanita View Road. She was struck from behind by a car at about 11:15 a.m.

The driver continued down the road without stopping.

The victim was airlifted from the scene to Sharp Memorial Hospital where she received treatment for her serious injuries.

Descriptions of the hit-and-run driver or vehicle are not available. However, the police are asking anyone without information about the accident to please contact the authorities.

Hit-and-run driver seriously injures pedestrian in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – A person was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver on State Route 74 in Temecula on Thursday evening, according to CHP.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of SR-74 near Hammack Avenue at about 6:15 p.m. Several drivers stopped their cars are the scene, including the driver who hit the pedestrian. However, the suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Pedestrian dead following collision with pickup in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, CA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck while he was crossing the intersection of E Street and Broadway on Sunday evening, the Times of San Diego reports.

Police say the collision happened at 7:10 p.m. yesterday, when an eastbound Toyota Tundra collided with a pedestrian in the 600 block of E Street. Officers conducted CPR on the man until medical services arrived and transported him to UC San Diego Medical Center, where we was pronounced dead.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The driver of the Toyota cooperated with police, who released him at the scene. They do not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a role in the crash.

Male pedestrian dies in crash on El Cajon street

SAN DIEGO, CA – A male pedestrian died in the hospital after being struck by a car while crossing a street in El Cajon on Sunday afternoon.

According to local Fox News, the man was hit in the 700 block of North Johnson Avenue by a southbound car, near Arnele Avenue, at about 5:40 p.m.

The man, described as in his 40s, was transported to a local hospital with head injuries. It was there that he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.

The investigation determined that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
