SAN DIEGO, CA – A person was killed in a house fire in East San Diego this afternoon, according to the Times of San Diego.
The blaze happened in the Teralta West neighborhood at about 3 p.m., in a one-story home in the 4100 block of Fairmount Avenue.
One person was found dead inside the building. Their identity was not immediately released.
Downed power lines reportedly made it dangerous for fire authorities to access the blaze. Despite the hazards, firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 15 minutes.
There is no word yet as to what started the fire, and authorities are continuing to investigate the blaze.
