RAMONA, CA – The California Highway Patrol reported a car fire this morning in the Witch Creek area of Ramona. According to the traffic report, the incident occurred at 25180 State Route 78 at around 10:52 a.m.

A engine of a white sedan caught fire for unknown reasons. At this time, it’s not clear what caused the engine fire or if any of the occupants were injured in the incident.

Car fire reported in San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, CA – Caltrans San Diego reported a car fire yesterday afternoon in San Marcos. According to the traffic report, the incident occurred on the westbound lanes of State Route 78 east of Rancho Santa Fe at around 1:49 p.m. No details on how the fire started are known at this time.

Car fire reported on State Route 76 in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, CA – A vehicle fire was reported yesterday afternoon in Oceanside. According to Caltrans San Diego, the fire occurred on westbound State Route 76 near North River Road at around 5:20 p.m. All lanes of westbound SR-76 were blocked for about two hours when the left lane opened up. The right lane stayed closed for about another hour.

It’s unclear how the fire started or if anyone inside the vehicle was injured at this time.

Vehicle fire blocks shoulder on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA – A vehicle caught fire yesterday evening new Sabre Springs. According to Caltrans San Diego, the incident was reported at around 5:05 p.m on southbound Interstate 15 near Poway Road. The vehicle caught fire and blocked the right shoulder of the roadway, causing traffic delays. At this time, it’s not clear why the car caught fire or if anyone was injured in the incident.

Vehicle fire leads to blocked lanes on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to Caltrans San Diego, a car caught fire yesterday evening on Interstate 15.

A vehicle traveling southbound on I-15 caught fire just south of Rainbow Valley Boulevard at around 5:58 p.m. The stalled, flaming car completely blocked the two rightmost lanes of the highway for about an hour. It’s unclear at this time how the car caught fire or if any injuries were sustained in the accident.
