CORONADO, CA – Caltrans San Diego reported a car fire on the eastbound lanes of the San Diego-Coronado Bridge yesterday evening. According to the report, the incident happened at around 5:57 p.m.

At time time, it’s unclear if anyone was injured in the fire.

Car fire reported in Witch Creek area

RAMONA, CA – The California Highway Patrol reported a car fire this morning in the Witch Creek area of Ramona. According to the traffic report, the incident occurred at 25180 State Route 78 at around 10:52 a.m.

Car fire reported near El Cajon elementary school

EL CAJON, CA – A car fire was reported this morning near Rancho Elementary School in El Cajon. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the State Route 125 Paradise Valley on-ramp at around 11:39 a.m.

A blue Audi A4 was entering northbound SR-125 when the vehicle caught fire and the motorist had to pull the vehicle over on the on-ramp.

Car fire reported on State Route 76 in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, CA – A vehicle fire was reported yesterday afternoon in Oceanside. According to Caltrans San Diego, the fire occurred on westbound State Route 76 near North River Road at around 5:20 p.m. All lanes of westbound SR-76 were blocked for about two hours when the left lane opened up. The right lane stayed closed for about another hour.

It’s unclear how the fire started or if anyone inside the vehicle was injured at this time.

Stolen vehicle found on fire near State Route 54

SAN DIEGO, CA – A stolen vehicle was found on fire in Paradise Hills near State Route 54 early this morning. According to 10 News, the Mustang was located on Valley Road at around 4 a.m. The vehicle fire spread to the surrounding bush and burned up the hillside and towards SR-54. Fire crews were able to put the fires out in about fifteen minutes.

Car fire spreads to nearby brush

SAN DIEGO, CA – A car caught fire yesterday evening and caused a brush fire in Barrett Junction. The California Highway Patrol reports that a Nissan Altima caught fire at 1020 Barrett Lake Road at around 6 p.m. yesterday. Police responded to the accident and found the vehicle burning completely through. The fire spread to the brush on the right side of the road. Emergency responders were able to put the fire out and reopen the road after about an hour.

We can confirm that the driver of the vehicle was uninjured in the accident. The vehicle, however, was completely damaged.
