WINCHESTER, CA – An incident of road rage led to a collision with unknown injuries in the Dutch Village neighborhood this afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The crash took place on Leon Road at Lantana Way sometime before 10:30 a.m. this morning. One vehicle was blocking the northbound lanes of Leon when CHP units arrived on the scene.

Accident reported on I-5 near border

SAN DIEGO, CA – An accident has been reported on I-5 northbound at Exit 1A, close to the Mexican border, according to 511 San Diego.

The incident occurred sometime before 6:26 a.m. today, and seems to have drawn a response from the California Highway Patrol.

No further details are available at this time, and it is unclear whether anyone was injured.

CHP on scene of accident on SR-78 in Vista

VISTA, CA – The California Highway Patrol responded to a collision on eastbound SR-78/Ronald Reagan Parkway in Vista this morning, according to their logs.

The incident happened just west of Civic Center Drive shortly before 9 a.m. today. Three vehicles were involved, including a black BMW sedan that required a tow truck.

All lanes blocked following collision on SR-76

SAN DIEGO, TX – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol were forced to shut down several lanes on SR-76 following a traffic collision Wednesday afternoon.

According to Caltrans, the accident involving a tanker truck occurred shortly after 3 p.m. within the southbound lanes of the freeway near Community Church Drive.

No injuries have been reported immediately following the crash. However, troopers closed all eastbound lanes for nearly five hours while the accident was investigated and cleared from the roadway.

Details regarding the cause of the collision remain underway. All lanes have since been reopened.

Vehicle careens into Mountain View home

SAN DIEGO, CA – Emergency crews in Moutain View responded to reports of a vehicle crashed into a residence early Tuesday morning.

According to Fox 5 San Diego, the incident was reported at about 3:40 a.m. within the 3900 block of Franklin Avenue.

Police say a blue sedan left the roadway and crashed into the home. All people inside the house were able to escape without sustaining any injuries.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision at this time. No details regarding the identities of those involved have been made available as of yet.

Multiple lanes closed following collision on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities were forced to block at least two lanes along I-15 following a multi-vehicle collision on I-15 Tuesday morning.

According to Caltrans, the accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. within the southbound lanes of I-15 near Duenda Road.

No further information with regard to the cause of the crash or if any injuries were sustained as a result has been made available at this time.

The right two lanes were blocked for about a half-hour following the incident. All lanes have since been reopened.

All lanes blocked following collision on SR-78

SAN DIEGO, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol were forced to close all westbound lanes along State Route 78 late Sunday night.

According to Caltrans, the accident occurred shortly before 10:40 a.m. along SR-78 near the exit to Sycamore Avenue.

No injuries were reported as a direct result of the crash at this time. However, all westbound lanes were closed for about four hours reopening at about 2:40 a.m.

Vehicle careens into San Diego apartment complex

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two people were taken to the hospital, and several evacuated after a vehicle crashed into an apartment building Wednesday afternoon.

According to KGTV, the accident occurred at the apartment complex within the 5000 block of Barstow Street at about 3:30 p.m. causing a gas leak within the building.

Both the driver responsible for the collision and an SDPD officer was transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries sustained as a result of the crash.

Hazmat crews respond to chemical spill following Santee collision

SANTEE, CA – Several vehicles were involved in a collision near the Mission Gorge Shopping Center that resulted in a chemical spill Wednesday afternoon.

According to NBC San Diego, the accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. along Cuyamaca Street near the intersection with SR-52.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the collision. However, a hazardous materials crew was called to the scene to clean up the spilled chemical.

Motorists and commuters on the Metropolitan Transit System faced significant delays while the incident was cleared from the roadway.

San Diego man killed after being shot, crashing into utility pole

SAN DIEGO, CA – A man from San Diego was killed after sustaining at least one gunshot wound and crashing into a utility pole Sunday morning.

According to CBS 8, the accident was reported at about 11 a.m. along 73rd Street and El Cajon Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police discovered the 35-year-old man, who had been shot in the chest, deceased in his vehicle crashed into the pole.

Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the collision, or any identifying information with regard to a suspect in the case, have not yet been released.
