Victim hospitalized after multi-car accident on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA – One person was transported to a local hospital after a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 on Tuesday evening, according to CHP.

A black Kia crashed with a silver Nissan Altima and a Silver Scion on the offramp from the southbound lanes to Friars Road at about 5:45 p.m.

The driver of the Nissan Altima was quickly transported to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Meanwhile, crews continued to work at the scene. The vehicles were moved out of the way of traffic while a tow truck was called for one car and emergency personnel helped change a tire on another so it could leave the scene.

Two injured in El Cajon crash on State Route 94

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least two people suffered minor injuries in a traffic collision on State Route 94 in El Cajon on Wednesday afternoon.

According to CHP, a multi-vehicle car accident was reported on State Route 94 near College Avenue at about 12:08 p.m. One of the lanes was blocked by the crash and another vehicle came to rest on the right-hand side facing the wrong way.

Tow trucks were called for all the vehicles including one that had a broken axle.

At least two people sustained injuries in the accident that were considered minor.

Woman injured by hit-and-run driver on I-8

SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 8 on Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A woman was driving a dark grey Scion in the westbound lanes when she was struck by a vehicle near Mission Gorge Road just before noon.

The other driver immediately left the scene and the woman was not able to give a description of the vehicle that fled.

Drunk driver damages vehicles in overnight crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two vehicles were damaged when a drunk driver crashed on Interstate 5 in Chula Vista in the early morning hours of Tuesday.

According to CHP, a driver, under the influence of alcohol, was headed north in a grey Ford Explorer when they lost control and crashed with a green Chevrolet Cobalt near J Street at about 1 a.m.

The driver of the Chevrolet pulled to the side of the road with the vehicle’s emergency flashers on and the drunk driver ended up in the center divider.

When officials arrived, they were able to charge the intoxicated driver.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

Out of control driver causes multi-vehicle crash on 1-805

SAN DIEGO, CA – More than one vehicle was struck when a driver lost control on Interstate 805 in National City on Tuesday morning.

According to CHP, the driver of a black Nissan Pathfinder lost control in the southbound lanes near East Plaza Boulevard just after 11 a.m. Before crashing head-on into the center divider, the SUV hit a black Jeep Cherokee and a flatbed semi-truck. At least one or two more vehicles were also involved in the crash and the vehicles and debris were blocking two lanes.

An ambulance was immediately called to the scene, and at least one person was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

1 hospitalized following 3-vehicle collision on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person was transported to the hospital following a collision involving several vehicles on I-15 early Tuesday morning.

According to the CHP, the crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. within the northbound lanes of I-15 near the on-ramp from Mira Mesa Boulevard.

Initial reports were of an SUV that had struck the center divider and was blocking the roadway, causing multiple vehicles to collide with the stalled vehicle and debris in the roadway.

One person complaining of pain at the scene was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Two trapped in overturned vehicle in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities were called to an overturned vehicle accident on Interstate 5 in Temecula early on Monday morning, according to CHP.

A Chevrolet Tahoe overturned in the northbound lanes near Rancho California Road at about 2:30 a.m. Two people were trapped inside the vehicle and were extricated by firefighters.

An ambulance was also called to the scene. Further information about the condition of the victims has not become available.

According to CHP, a white Toyota Corolla crashed with a white Ford Escape near Vincent Avenue at about 12:40 p.m.

At least one person sustained minor injuries in the crash.

1 dead, up to 8 injured in multi-vehicle accident near Morena

SAN DIEGO, CA – A crash near the Morena area on Wednesday night led to the death of one person and the hospitalization of multiple other people, according to ABC 10 San Diego.

The accident occurred on southbound I-5 near the exit for Sea World Drive at about 10 p.m., when multiple vehicles collided.

Multiple victims managed to pull themselves from their vehicles before emergency officials arrived.

One person died as a result of the crash.

While the exact number of victims was unavailable, authorities said that up to eight people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident and the identities of the victims have not yet been made available.

Motorcyclist suffers broken ankle in Clairemont hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver collided with a motorcyclist, causing him serious injuries, then left the scene of the accident in the Clairemont area on Thanksgiving night.

According to The Times of San Diego, the accident occurred in the 4400 block of Clairemont Drive at about 7:50 p.m. when a dark-colored Ford vehicle, described as possibly an SUV or a pickup truck, made a left turn onto Clairemont Dr.

The truck then collided with a motorcyclist, who had attempted to avoid the collision by swerving into the middle of the roadway.

The motorcycle then crashed into two other vehicles that had been parked on the side of Clairemont.

The driver of the Ford then fled the scene and was last seen on Clairemont.

The motorcyclist suffered multiple non-critical injuries, including a broken ankle, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the accident at this time.
