SAN DIEGO, CA – Major injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that overturned a car on Interstate 15 in Murrieta on Wednesday evening.

According to CHP, the accident happened on northbound I-15 north of California Oaks Road at about 11:38 p.m. Two vehicles crashed and one overturned.

At least one person suffered major injuries.

Woman seriously injured when vehicle rolls in Carlsbad

SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries after her vehicle overturned on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad on Thursday morning.

According to Fox News San Diego, the woman was driving southbound on I-5 when she crashed near Cannon Road at about 8:30 a.m. Her car rolled all the way over, landed back on its wheels, then slammed in the guardrail.

The woman was trapped in the vehicle and was extricated by the authorities, who then transported her to a local hospital.

Offramp closed after morning crash near Balboa Park

SAN DIEGO, CA – An offramp was closed on Interstate 5 near Balboa Park after a rollover car accident early on Thursday morning.

According to Caltrans San Diego, the offramp from southbound I-5 to B Street and Perishing was closed on Thursday morning from about 6:15 a.m. after a vehicle overturned.

The lane was reopened in little more than an hour.

It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the crash.

One person hospitalized after weekend rollover crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – One person was transported to a local hospital after a rollover accident and crash with a tree on Interstate 5 on Sunday afternoon.

According to CHP, a white Pontiac sedan went off the right side of I-5 south near Harbor Drive at about 1:30 p.m. The car overturned, landing on its roof, and crashed into a tree just off the righthand side.

Only one vehicle was involved in the crash.

One person was taken to an area hospital for undisclosed injuries.

Truck driver extricated from rolled truck in El Cajon

SAN DIEGO, CA – A truck driver was extricated from an overturned tractor-trailer after a crash on State Route 94 in El Cajon on Thursday morning.

According to CHP, a tractor-trailer crashed in the 29000 block of SR-94 at about 6:05 a.m. The truck was overturned and blocked both directions of traffic.

The male driver was trapped in the truck that had started smoking and was attempting to break the window to free himself.

He was treated for injuries after he was extricated. An update on his condition has not become available.

One person airlifted from rollover crash in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO, CA – One person was taken by helicopter from the scene of a rollover accident on Interstate 5 in Oceanside on Wednesday afternoon.

According to CHP, a vehicle was southbound on I-5 when the vehicle swerved across multiple lanes and hit the center divide near the Aliso Creek Rest Area at about 4:10 p.m. The vehicle overturned onto the northbound side of the freeway.

Authorities closed the freeway for about 10 minutes in order to land a helicopter at the scene. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Overturned tractor-trailer blocks SR-79 in Aguanga

SAN DIEGO, CA – A tractor-trailer crashed and overturned, blocking both directions of State Route 79 in Aguanga on Wednesday morning.

According to CHP, the driver of the tractor-trailer was driving on SR-79 when they struck an embankment near Sage Road at about 3:36 a.m. The truck overturned on its side, spreading debris and blocking both lanes.

Traffic was completely blocked for more than an hour. Sometime after 4:45 a.m, authorities were able to begin directing some traffic around the accident scene, however, the truck was still blocking the northbound lanes. Authorities had not been able to clear the scene by the early afternoon.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Speeding driver causes multi-vehicle crash on I-805

SAN DIEGO, CA – Several vehicles were involved in a rollover crash after a speeding driver lost control on Interstate805 on Monday morning.

According to CHP, the driver of a dark-colored Nissan Altima was driving northbound on I-805 when the lost control near Balboa Avenue at about 9:45 a.m. The crash soon involved four or five vehicles, including three that were overturned by the impact of the crash.

It is unclear at this time if any of the involved parties suffered injuries from the accident.

Two SUVs involved in Escondido rollover

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two vehicles were involved in a rollover accident at an intersection in Escondido on Thursday afternoon, according to CHP.

A white Chevrolet Equinox crashed with a black Chrysler SUV at the intersection of Gopher Canyon Road and Champagne Boulevard at about 12:10 p.m. The Equinox was overturned in the impact of the car accident.

Two tow trucks were called to take the damaged vehicles from the scene.

Injuries have not been confirmed.

Hot tar spilled when trailer overturned in Elsinore

SAN DIEGO, CA – Hot tar was spilled on State Route 74 after a tar pot trailer overturned in a crash in Elsinore on Thursday afternoon.

According to CHP, the tar pot trailer was being towed eastbound on SR-74 when it overturned and hit a black Cadillac truck near Rocky Road at about 12:08 p.m.

A Caltrans crew was called to the scene to address the significant amount of hot tar on the roadway in the westbound lanes.

An ambulance was also called to the scene but injuries have not been confirmed.
