More details have been released regarding last Saturday’s intersection crash in Oceanside.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., three vehicles collided at the intersection of El Camino Real and Fire Mountain Drive. Initial reports suggested several people were injured in the incident. Authorities have now confirmed that six motorists sustained various injuries in the collision. One victim was transported to Palomar Medical Center, while another had to be airlifted to Scripps La Jolla Hospital due to critical injuries. Other victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. Authorities have yet to identify anyone pending significant progress in their investigation. A 59-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious injuries and two marines sustained minor injuries in a chain-reaction car wreck that occurred on November 18, 2011, shortly before noon at North Coast Highway and state Route 76 (SR-76) in Oceanside. According to Oceanside police, a Dodge Durango jumped a curb, struck a pedestrian and crashed into an unoccupied building.
According to the authorities, a Durango was driving behind a Chevrolet Silverado and a Nissan Altima on southbound North Coast Highway when it suddenly rear ended the Silverado, causing a the chain-reaction crash. Read the rest »
One person suffered critical injuries in a serious three-vehicle crash that occurred on May 14‚ 2011‚ around 3:45 a.m. on Highway 76 just east of Oceanside in North San Diego County. According to the responding California Highway Patrol Officers‚ the collision involved a Chevy Tahoe SUV‚ a small Honda sedan and an unidentified third vehicle.
The injured victim was immediately rushed by the responding paramedics to a nearby hospital for treatment. The exact cause of this fatal pile-up remains under investigation. An unidentified 21-year-old Marine was struck and killed in a tragic car accident that occurred on April 3‚ 2011 around 12:35 a.m. near Camp Pendleton in North San Diego County. According to California Highway Patrol Officers‚ the victim along with a fellow Marine were crossing the northbound onramp to Interstate 5 near Harbor Drive when he was struck by a 2009 Nissan Altima.

Jess Jacinto Dagdayan‚ 58‚ was killed in a fatal Oceanside auto accident that occurred on I-5 in Oceanside on October 4‚ 2010‚ around 6:20 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol‚ Dagdayan’s BMW started spinning out of control‚ entered into southbound I-5‚ and struck a sports utility vehicle.
California Highway Patrol Captain Deb Schroder cited rain slick roads as a probable reason of this car accident that closed two lanes of I-5 for more than two hours. An unidentified pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a car at Civic Center Drive and North Coast Highway in Oceanside on September 15‚ 2010. According to Oceanside Police‚ this North San Diego County car accident occurred around 8:40 p.m. leaving a pedestrian seriously injured.

San Diego officials announced that it’s red-light cameras were having a tremendous effect on catching red-light running drivers. In fact‚ more than half of all citations were issued at one intersection: Grape Street and Harbor Drive. In less than a year‚ San Diego issued 8,261 red-light tickets and 54.5 percent were issued at that intersection (4,503 tickets).
